    hey guys,

i think i mayhave stumbled apon a good donor car for a project im trying my damdest to peice together.

its a 91 chevy caprice with the 305 and that funny looking throtel body were a carb should be.

what all would be involved in swaping to a carb- low buck style-- im sure they make new manifolds and all that jazz but can i just pull it off and bolt a carb on??? i dont see why i shouldnt be able to.
if anything the bolts may not be right for a carb and i could just make up a spacer that has the right holes in it.

is it as easy as that?

    TIA

Aside from all the polution*********,you might find the distributor is tied into a computer that controls the injection and trans.Earlier distributors should fit,and earlier intakes should fit.

    New intake, carb and distributor.

The area where the fuel pump would go may not be machined to accept a stock mechanical, so you'll have to use an electric pump, too.

    Easy stuff!

I have the same 305 in my '92 Caprice Wagon and it's an absolute dog. I would stay away from it in favor of a 350 unless you're getting it for dirt cheap (or free).
