Projects help locating hardware 53 chevy

    1953 chevy belair 4 door

    I have been having the hardest time locating these i have also sent to chevsofhe40s but there for the upper trim called Reveal molding, if can find something close to that would work would be fine with me.

  5. Those are tough to find. You might look at the door trim end clips. There are many different sizes from different models. Would need to be careful on the screw length.

    yeah ive looked at all sites including ebay.. used my phone to let google search images a good site is disco automotive has alllot of hardware but stilll no luck

    Could you show a picture of where these clips will go on your car? I have some parts kits for 49 to 52 Belt Molding clips. Maybe they can be used?

    did you call (yes call on the telephone) the National chevy assn? they have piles of used parts for these cars. Paul Nimis, the owner is an absolute encyclopedia of 49-54 chevs

    those chrome pieces look like they may work will check after this weekend, stepping away from technology for the weekend lol. I will take a pic of on the rail and where on the door it goes but its the upper most part close to the drip rail. I will call, i prefer to usually and will also call and check dimensions for part at chevsofthe40s part # 3698436. Thanks for the help and advice

    Keep in mind I said “reminds me”. They measure less than what you taped out. Now 56 Bel Air (door & fender) side trim is 1” wide and use’s a crown end retainer. Only problem is fastener is center rather than off set.
