Hey guys, I bought this 50 merc back last Nov, up near Cherry Valley Illinois, from a guy that didn’t know much about it, as he didn’t build it, it had a Continental kit on the back and the spare had Carl and Pats “wild rose” painted on it, i have since taken that off, just wondering if anyone on here Recognized it, it was built in the 80’s id say, here’s a few pics, thank in advance

Saw your post on the What Ever Happened To thread. Wish I could help with some info just off the top of my head, but this will take some going through old magazines/KKOA stuff and my calendar is pretty full for the near future.

I got nothing for now but must compliment you on your changes, like removing the continental kit and ditching the 'awful waffle' wheel covers for some decent looking 4-bars. Best of luck finding some history. Maybe try searching Lincoln Land Kustoms, they were an active KKOA club back in the 80's???

I'm liking what you did with it by turning an overly cluttered car into a sweet little custom by doing not much more than unbolting and removing unneeded pieces.

Thanks, i also removed all the silly pinstriping, EVERY panel had something on it, in gray and orange at that, so far I’ve completely rebuilt the drivetrain and suspension as well, i will just drive it for now and maybe next winter she will get new paint and interior
