Hello I'm new to the forum, I got a few questions about lowering my 64 falcon 4dr, i wanna make it as low as possible without it being bagged, I've heard of people doing a 4 inch block in the back but I was wondering if there's any way to squeeze 5 inches of drop out of the back, I'm willing to cut whatever is needed to clear the drive shaft or whatever else, I already have 3 inch blocks in the back and the fronts stock, thanks for any help or advice
i'm getting ready to lower the *** of my 61 falcon as well. i'm surprised that the 3" blocks worked without any cutting. you have any pictures of your car as it sits right now with the 3" blocks?
Any more than 3" though and you will need to C-notch the rails over the axle, not as easy as it might sound with a unibody car.The other obstacle you will hit is the driveshaft and tunnel get real close after about three inches too. Due to scrubline issues, if you have to go lower, I would look into de-arching your springs a bit to get the last little bit down. I would be the last person to say it, but there is a practical limit to how low you can go with certain cars before everything touches down. Down where you are now, if you have an automatic be careful 'cause I killed a few pans on mine over the years too.
