Hot Rods help me convince my old man that the boyds need to go...

  1. I would't help try to convince anybody, I got enough trouble taking care of my side of the street

Show Dad some photos of the cars posted on the thread and let him decide what he likes.
I do agree that the car would look better with a different wheel.

I think he's trying to say that it isn't worth nagging over. If His "Old Man" who is probably younger than I am wants tacky expensive wheels on his car, so be it an let it ride and worry about real issues. We can't all be the ******** same all the time or it would be a damned boring world.

And if I ever heard one of my kids call me "The Old man" I'd knock them across the damned room. That's total disrespect in my book.

Its not funny to make off color jokes about Boyd. His kids are members of the hamb and may read this. Please give them the respect they deserve.

Avoid the Boyd! Real hot rodders do not put billet parts on their cars. Eveything looks better with Torque Thrusts

Yeah, Lil John ****era & Boyd were both wannabes.

(...& FWIW, I like the steelies better than the Boyds on that car. You owe it to Dad to tell him that YOU THINK the car could look better with different wheels. If he doesn't agree, leave it alone.)

Can you post the original picture back up again? I missed it and it's not showing on the first few post.

Why do you have him as your avatar if you have so much dislike for the man?

The rolleyes were meant to add a sarcastic emphasis. Lost in translation I guess...

I have a lot of respect for a lot of people - many of whom don't build my kind of car but have had a huge impact.

Part of the problem here is many people seem to think there is only one style of car that was ever cool. Go back in history and you will see every decade had its own style but all were based on the early cars. just take the 32 ford for instance. Just like Harrison says, have respect for the people that went before us they all had a part in why we are here today.
