Well,as usual, life got in the way so the project has been simmering for a while.I'm still undecided (I know, worse than a woman). Who can tell me if the olds or caddy will fit without cutting my firewall ? Bob

Still can't decide? Put a SBC in there until you do.

In some of my weaker moments I
Have seriously considered that option but i'm afraid I would get spoiled and never change it out.bob

Both the olds and caddy will fit with the stock firewall but the radiator will need to be moved forward and the stock hood will no longer fit. We used a nailhead in our Chevrolet but the engine compartment on those is longer due to the length of the stovebolt 6. One consideration is cost as we spent enough on parts to rebuild the Buick as it would have cost us for 2 new crate engins from Chevrolet. We do like the look though.

Bob, guess you get no notification now like before??. I just p*** my cursor over the message icon and then click on show all. All messages will appear that you can then choose from. If there are none from me then I should let Ryan know. Had this happen with another member also who I have never heard from. Perhaps this is why.

I'd vote for the flathead with a T5 behind it for reliability. 32atgoodguys.JPG
