i went with this cam in my 327.. running double hump heads with some work done to them and an original 65 corvette aluminum intake with block hugger headers and a new holley 670 carb... been driving this car for near ten years and it runs like a champ! careful with them holleys though ;)

Stay with the cam you have now its a good street driver for 9.5 to 1 and under and mild gears with od. You need to know your real compression and gearing to pick a cam remember you short on inches so for a driver you want a small cam to keep you cylinder pressure{torque} and milage plus camelbacks dont do well over 450 lift, the cam you have i put in a lot of low dollar motors for those that want more than a truck motor on a budget, you may do better with a small name brand cam but for what your doing with this and having those heads i wouldnt bother if you already own this cam. Plus when it comes to multi carb setups small cams with good idle va*** are way less finicky to tune, trust me tell em you got a big hot cam and lean out the idle so it sounds tuff, youll be happier!

Why are cams so hard to choose?
Will I really benefit from bumping up to the old 350hp/327 cam?
Or will just get more of a lopy muscle car sound ?

Remember this is going to go in a 54 chevy chopped shaved sleek custom

Remember this . Dont go radical on the cam ,Exspecially if your gonna run tri power. If you keep it a four barrel 750 holley single plane ,spacer ,501 cam 3000 stahl roller rockers 1.5 .distributor lightest springs Gears above 3.50 Also change the cast iron exhaust manifolds. To headers. Thats my old motor combination
