Anyone out there know were i can find a 12 volt amber light for a guide bucket that i am using as a fog light. I just need some direction. Knuck from indiana.
here's a thought...hook-up with someone who works for the county or city where you live and see if you can get a yellow lens outta a traffic signal...some were 7" and WILL fit in a standard housing....shhhhh don't tell
Try an auto parts place that specializes in foreign cars. They are made by Cibie and Marchal and I believe Bosch as well.If not they may have H-1 bulbs that are amber and should fit the regular clear fog lamps.
Bingo! That metalcast works great. You are NOT going to find a 7" amber bulb. Plenty of clear 7" ones. Plenty of 6 inch amber bulbs, but no 7" amber bulbs.
I take i might have to go to napa first then if no go paint store it is. Thanks guys knuck from indiana. Any other idears.
Yeah just called napa they said no way maybe fellow hamber is right they dont make a 7" amber light bulb. Knuck from indiana.

Ahunret years ago in the 50'sto70's the bulbs on the school buses WERE 7" sealed beams. red ones and amber ones. Find an old bus in a junkyard. They are not as bright as a headlight but should be OK for fog lights. Before the 50's there were red ones with non sealed beams, replaceable bulbs, like a 39 and earlier headlight.
Old junkyards are a thing of the past up here to find a bus is almost non existant due to the mills and scrap being so hi anyone out there have a used one that is not cracked and works and please 12 volt any help will be great. Thanks knuck from indiana.
That is the right number. I looked for them for my 48 Flxible Clipper bus . I was able to keep finding R's & B's (red and blue) but the A's (ambers) were a SOB. All of the old Clippers had dual headlights, two of which were amber fogs. The 4415A 's are sealed beam. There were pre sealed beam 7"amber made also.
Ok ok ok i search the number it says right on there 4.5 diameter. We are talking 7 " not 5 ,6,3.5 but 7 folks knuck from indiana.
Allright, all right! THIS is the number you want but I could never find NOS ones. 4433A Sealed Beam Amber multipurpose light bulb 7" 12-14v ,40Watt-40Watt' 3 lug conector. w 3 contact lugs. There is several owners pictures running them on the Flxible Bus owners club site. Maybe they would know of a source?
Hey ModelA30, what's with your signature? Are you saying bikes with kickstarts are like stinky farts? Is that a good thing?
No what i am saying is only guys that have stinky farts have the balls to have a kickstart on there stinking bikes.
I worked for Carquest quite a few years ago, we sold lexan covers that fit over the standard flood bulbs in Red, blue, green and amber for the industial industry. I kept the amber ones on the shelf for our salt trucks, something most of you guys have no idea what they are! You learn about salt the hard way, we watch our old iron disappear before our eyes.
fwiw didn't older mercedes have an amber sealed beam on some of their sedans...not sure if they were 6" or 7" though
