Like the ***le says. Cleaning up shop & trying to rehome parts Im not using in the immediate future.
Ive had this old chromed axle complete w spindles, hubs, backing plates drums ect... for a decade or more.
I'd thought they were 40 Ford style but after digging them out im not sure. So whats the HAMB consensus ?
Are they worth keeping & getting in the hands of a fellow HAMBer, Or just s**** fodder ?

Any idea what application they're good for ? Early Ford hot rod stuff ?
In other words who would want these ?
I know the axle is trash. I just would rather not trash the whole unit if its something useable.

The ones on the axle are 39-42 ford. The second set you posted are 46-48 ford

  6. And round spindle for that extra  factor.

    For pricing/selling…

I paid either 150 or 250 for a chrome tube dropped axle with ‘46-8 spindles, only one side had drum/hub ***embly. Other side just the spindle and backing plates. Both backing plates chrome also. Chrome about like yours.

I bought a set of ‘46-8 hubs/drums/backing plates. Drums are out of spec and can’t be turned. I think it was around 65/75 plus shipping.

I bought a set of ‘46-8 spindles for 125 plus shipping.

This was all off the HAMB.

So you won’t retire off of what you have, but definitely not for a s**** pile

Edit: Tge one hub/drum ***embly on the axle that was complete is ‘39-42? .

39-42 have the inside mount hubs, 46-48 have outside mount hubs. Hard to tell from the photo but if the lower shoe mounts are adjustable on the backing plate they’re 39-42. If they are fixed they are 46-48.
