IMG_4930.jpeg Good afternoon! I’ve had this bumper in my “parts department” for 50 years and would like to use it on the back of a ‘35 Ford pickup build slowly progressing. Looking to get it chromed and local shop the sends it out to be re stamped and needs it IDed.
Here’s what I can tell you:

The only marking I can find is an E on the back side.

Mounting holes are 13” apart outer to inner bolt & 29” inner to inner bolt.
Overall length is 63” and it’s 3 & 1/2 inches wide. The vertical curve to the bumper is asymmetrical such that the mounting holes are O/C 1 & 1/4 from one horizontal and 2 &1/4 from the other. Also, vertical and end curves very similar to a’37 panel delivery on my other’35 pickup but l to r profile very different owing to its origin on a panel delivery.

    Here are some photos:

    I’m thinking ‘37 pickup rear.
    What do you say?

    Thank you in advance!

Thank you Redo32 and Tetanus. From what I can see on line, ‘40 bumpers look very similar but look to me to be more symmetrical on the ends than mine. Am I missing something?

Been a while but it looks like the front bumper on a '40/'41 Ford big truck I used to have. Long gone so no measurements.

51504bat, looks like a Tonner there. Nice & thank you.
Here’s an update: I went on the interweb looking at for sale ‘37 and ‘40 pickups that looked pretty much stock. I took from straight on rear images and measured distances between bolts and any other measurements I could gather and calculated ratios between measurements on images vs my bumper. I also looked at curves etc. to my way of thinking, what I have is a ‘37 pickup rear bumper.

40 appears pretty close, but the end curves appear to be different.

Thank you all for your help!
