Technical Help me ID this carb

    It looks like a Zenith, it’s on a 1955 Chevy 235. The car is a 150 sedan. I thought Rochester’s were the carbs on all 235 engines. IMG_9409.jpeg

    The Carter YF was also used on them....as you can see, as this car has one.

    Yes, Carter YF. Extremely widely used on a lot of inline engines

    The Rochester "B" series was used exclusively by Chevrolet on their sixes in the 1950's and most of the 1960's.

    Lots of folks felt the AFTERMARKET Carter YF built specifically to replace the Rochester B was superior when new.

    Lots of folks today feel the Carter is greatly superior to the Rochester B.

    Unless your desires for your vehicle is either museum or national restored shows, be very happy you have what you have.
