Is the brown primer or rust??? That sure looks like a fiberglass streetrod dash with slightly miniaturized molded copy of Auburn panel...
If it is real anything, it should have some holes for instruments...and the crude notch looks like the material is very thick...
It it is what I think, it is a recent part made for Model rods. The crusty finish looks like old metal, but everything else seems to indicate glass, and your description seems to imply it is thought to be old.

Here's a picture of a '26 Auburn roadster, doesn't look anything like it.

That is a fiberglass streetrod part. If the gray is the original gel coat then it probably is an AI (Anderson Industries) piece. I think they made a dash with the smaller Auburn-ish style insert.

Probably meant to fit into a 26-27 Ford T roadster body.

  6. Tommy's correct. We did produce a modified '27 roadster dash with a shorter styled Auburn cluster because a stock sized one was thought to eat up too much leg room in a roadster that didn't have much to spare.

Youre guys are right, ive talked with the seller and he confirmed that it´s a fiberglass dashboard so i´m not intrested in it anymore.
