Criticism and constructive criticism are two different things.Listen to those that help.Ignore the rest. That's constructive. He asked for tires 101 and gets playground bullies.

    Recommendations:
    Front wheel/tire 15x5/165R15
    Rear wheel/tire 15x8/P265/75R15 or 16x8/P245/75R16

Further recommendation: Reconsider the elevation in the rear. I think it would look substantially better lowered about four to six inches from its current position.

There are a lot of ways to do this, and I don't claim to have the market cornered on knowledge or taste, but I know the stuff I recommended will give it function and looks that work.

All good advice here. Some harsh, some, not so much.
Anyway, this truck's lower suspension links (front AND rear) are hanging awfully low. Not sure this truck will be right if lowered anywhere close to a pleasing level. Something else, the front track looks pretty wide.

Wheels and tires are another issue.

  6. elwood , if you look at my previous post on this thread i think you will see that i was trying to help you. i , and apparently others on here too , think some other issues should be addressed first

this is all i can add to this discussion: wheels/tires , how they fill a wheel well and the stance of the vehicle are very important to it's appeal . get it right and everyone loves it , get it wrong and you see what happens.what you are NOW trying to figure out should have been done during the pickup's initial mock up. trying to cover the lack of planning with some wild wheel/tire choices only make it worst ...get the right width rear end at the right height for the right wheels/tires . it shouldn't be too hard to make a few changes

you have a nice project going there , just make a few tweeks
