HELP my computer CRASHED!!!!!!

My computer is totaly fried. I cant even boot up the damn thing. It always comes up to Setup screen in a blue background.??? what should i do. i think i have that new virus or something. (MY pc has been broken for over a month) I have tried everything, but i could use anyones help! PLease guys try to fix this damn thing so i can spend more time on HAMB!



PS. Using a friends PC right now...

hey steve that sucks about your computer .. now i know why you havent been on . anyways did you go to the car show in asbury?

 

It's always fun to diagnose with out ever being at the machine. So, give me some info: What OS, Compaq Dell Gateway?, did you download anything before it puked? PM me, maybe I can help you get it back up and running.

Setup, like in BIOS Setup? If so, make sure you don't have a stuck key on the keyboard.

 

Possibly the battery is failing or if anything changed in the system ( amount of memory, cpu , etc) . If you exit from the Set Up screen & accept the changes, will it boot up to an OS ? And what OS are you running? How old is the system ? I am in Bucks County , just acros the river from Trenton. Let me know what help I can be.
