Because I am a dumbass, I hit a hole in a grass field at a car show last summer with my lowered 1936 Ford Cabriolet. The grille shell bottomed out and I cracked the bottom of the 1940 LaSalle grille. I pulled the grille out today and decided that I should at least look for a replacement before I try to repair this one. The problem I am having is that I am not sure what grille I have. Looking online it says that the 1940 LaSalle series 50 grille has 50 bars on the lower section and the series 52 has 48 bars on the lower section. But my grille has 53 bars on the lower section (I am not using the top piece of the Lasalle grille on my car). The length of my lower section is 28-5/16”. The four black tabs are what I made to mount the grille to the 36 Ford grille shell. Can anyone shed light as to what my grille is?
