I know this is not the right place but I need help, would like to drive this truck home but the manifold is an issue. Figured it would get maximun exposure here. I have a 292 in a F100 that has a 4bbl manifold but it will not take a Holley. Need a 4bbl manifold that will take the Holley, need it to be somewhat close to Edwards/Rosamond/Lancaster/Palmdale as I am not from around here and will need to meet up to purchase. If you have one that is foresale and are reasonably close please call my cell 205-382-7135. Thanks, Bill

I moved this from the classifieds...

You sure you can't find an adapter at your local parts supplier?

I had thought of the adapter thing but where? I am in Southern CA for the first time in my life, my kid is not a motor head, any idea who would carry one?

In Southern California I would think there's a speed shop on every corner... at least that's what they tell us here on the east coast. Do you have access to tools? Is this something you need to get out of there ASAP? I did this on mine but I used a carb spacer and drilled and countersunk some mounting hardware, but I also needed to match port the manifold, it doesn't sound like you're in a position to do that. Someone just posted on here about the same issue...HomeSpun91 has a couple of part numbers that you might be able to use...

Try R&E Racing in Lancaster. Their number is (661)948-7622

  8. I think what you need is a Trans-Dapt p/n#2064 large to small square flange adaptor. Any large parts house there in the desert should be able to get you one within a day. You might ask the counterman where their warehouse is and pick it up at "will-call".

  9. R&E Racing in Lancaster is about the only place in the area that will have what you need. They are on Sierra Hwy west between ave I and J near the metrolink station. (661)948-7622

Thanks guys, found one at the "zone" here in Rosamond. Edlbrock part # 1106, it is buried in the Flathead manifold section, not the adaptor section. All is well, put it on and everything bolted up great, butter flys open with no interferrance. Hope to fire this thing up today!
