Hi guys, I am building a 1930 ford rpu and need information for my rear suspension. I am using a bronco 9'' with model a spring and 36 ford radius rods. I need to know at what distance should my rod mounts be on the rear end from each other? Any help would be great. Thanks.

If your talking the rear ,Depends on spring model a springs are 39 so 44 inch centers,Thats what my model a is at with 36 wishbones but I used an eight inch 69 ford rear ,Fronts will have to be cut down,Keep them as close as possible....John

It will depend on the spring width plus shackles.

Speedway motors says 5 inches plus spring eye width. But that will depend on the shackles you use.

XTROM is that 5 inches total or per side? I went and mesured my spring: 10 leaf and 41.25 inches with no tension. Do not have shackles yet. Also how many leaves should I remove for a good ride? Thanks.
