Saw this on CbodyDryDock figured I'd spread the word. "I am on my return trip from the turkey run in daytona and my 65 coronet 500 fried a right rear axle bearing and spit the axle out against the fender....!!!! It's sunday night and I got AAA to send a roll back and tow me to the La Quinta inn at exit 6 on 185. If anyone in the area see's this I need a right rear axle with a bearing ....or a reputable repair shop close by. Will..... 256-214-2792"
Any luck? I know the feeling, I broke down on the way back from Daytona as well, carb was throwing fuel all over the engine, couldn't fix it so had AAA tow us as well, still cost me $200 bucks, oddly enough the same price as the carb I p***ed on at the show... Brian
I just talked to him and he almost has his car repaired. He said he will be on the road in 30 minutes. I am 20 minutes away but he said he was good and thanks to the people on the HAMB for helping out. Dan
