I'm having a really hard time finding a rear carb for my Pakard dual quad set-up. I looked through my workshop manual and they're both Rochester4GCs but the rear has a different number. There's zilch information on the dual quad set up. The breakdown specs for the carbs are identical, same venturi size, same jet, same everything. MBL hooked me up with a guy who's got plenty of regular carbs. What I wanna know is what's typically different about a rear carb? If it's just a case of a missing choke szetup then I can work with that. Also will I experience a vaccuum drop to the distributor adavance? Somebody in HAMB land has got to have the answer.

Nads I wish my scanner was up and running. I'd post a photo of my Packard motor and carbs from 1961. we didn't have a store to buy big carbs so we had to modify what we had. I'll scan it next time I go to my sons house. I know that this is no help for your question.
I've had a couple of excellent recommendations about, and some very helpful phone advice from, Daytona Parts Company: (386) 427-7108, or dubyadubyadubya-dot-daytonaparts-dot-com Obviously they're pretty near you, too.
