I bought this hood at Hershey this past October and was told it’s to a ‘32 Ford. Well it is larger than a ‘32 based on what I see on Rootlieb web site. Does anyone know what it goes to based on the dimensions in the photos? Thank you

  2. Custom made for someone's project???? Not anything I'm familiar with because it's pretty flat. That won't work for extended 32 or anything that I'm familiar with.

  3. I'd build a car around it.:) Looks like a GREAT starting point.

Wow. New metal so you'd think it would be for something common, but I don't know what. Sorry

  6. I saved this from off the interwebs. I assume these are Fords but that needs to be double checked.

  7. Damn near looks like somebody was practicing with their louver press! LOL. The front is so wide, I have no clue what it might fit . . . it may not fit anything?

  8. Top looks too flat for anything in the 32-34 range.

I wonder if it was just a practice piece somebody made either to practice on or a wall hanger...

One thing to consider is that the act of punching a louver will flatten, the louver itself is a straight piece that was punched into a curved surface so it'll change the original shape. Try working it over a large piece of pipe to see if you can put the radius back into it, you might get lucky.

Somebody made a hood for a '32 and messed up the dimensions?
I don't think just massaging it will be enough to make it fit, the side radius might end up too low and the sides curl in once the top fits , but it can probably be made to fit once the top fits, maybe move the side radiuses and rebend the edges.
But I'm guessing if you could do that, you wouldn't have buy that hood...
But you might get lucky as oj said.
