I drive gasoline tanker and live in Washington state. We blend all the diesel we sell to be good to a minimum of -35 this time of year. We blend ours with Starreon. Disperses water better lubrication etc. Someone said plug it in or put cardboard in front of radiator. Thats not going to help the fuel thats turning solid in the tank. You have to ask the station what there diesel is good for before you buy. Everyone treats the fuel around here. We put a gallon of Starreon to 750 gallons of ultra low diesel where we used to do 1 gallon to 1500 gallons of low sulpher dsl.
more and more the problems with fuel quality is who you are buying it from, majority of the rigs i service are fueld by pacific pride or fuel source and for the most part been pretty good on quality, but in seattle it doesnt hardly get near as cold as some parts of the country so fuel clouding and gelling isnt a major concern i do see my fair share of algea thou
