Thinking about putting a front clip on so I can have disc brakes and bagging it, but not sure of who to use. Looking for advice on using different manufacturers good or bad. And on the same note advice for the rear bagging so it can lay down 2 link or 4 link, etc???. thanks

I dont know about front clips, but why not buy a disc brake conversion kit for original hubs?
You can use the original A-arms for bagging too and there are upgrades for steering too available.
I think there is less work by doing it this way.

Finnrodder has a good point. Check out shoebox central for all your needs, they are great people and thy will help you out. I clipped my last shoebox and all it did was create one new problem after another. Now that I am a little older I appreciate that my car feels like an old car, it's part of the experience for me. There is nothing wrong with the factory frame at all, everything you need can be bolted on.

  4. If the frame is solid don't clip it.

This looks like a helluva nice solid sedan. In your other posts you're talking about bagging it and laying frame, now you're talking 4 links and front clips. Got a mini truck or two in your background? It's not my car, but I'd hope you'll do some research into traditional customs and build techniques before you start ripping into this nice old shoebox. You can make it into a killer custom without all that kit-build stuff.

There's a shoebox forum on here that has a ton of good info, and links to a lot of build threads from mild to insane. Do some reading and get some ideas...

  8. Oh and just for the record, I'm not a "it's too original to mess with" restorer, I'd chop that thing in a second :D
