help on radio 46-48 merc?

    i am trying to figure out what year this radio came out of. i ***ume it is 46-48 merc since it has a m on it cool radio with a 12volt conversion.

    I think the M denotes manual tuning, when you push the light bars at the bottom, it should rotate to numbers for presets

    Remember it has 6 volt positive ground . not negative ground.

    Thanks for the info, mine has been switched to 12 and am fm conversion to it. I was thinking of selling it since the car i was going to work it into the dash, i sold.

    I had a 47 Merc coupe when I was in high school in 1959 and my neighbor gave me a radio just like that one to use.
