Hot Rods help removal 0f 1934 ford steering box??

    does anyone have any info or links to directions to removing a 1934 ford steering box , and dismantle of steering box so I can rebuild it with a new rebuild kit???
    I have the kit from the early ford shop..
    just need instructions on how to do it..

    Pull the bolts off the sector cover first , (there will be tapered sleeves on some) then you can pull the 4 bolts from worm gear cover and slide out worm gear and steering shaft ... There is a procedure to adjust , (similar to a model a)

    To remove you need to pull the pitman arm with a heavy-duty puller and unbolt from frame and dash. Pull steering wheel and bring it out straight down. If you can get help from someone who has pulled pre-1939 steering wheels before, do so! This is non-trivial. Pitman will come off with modern puller for that job.
    Disassembly is simple...remove every bolt you see after removing wheel and mast jacket and the thing will be apart. No tricks or secrets there. You need the adjustment procedures...I recently posted a list of the essential books for '32-6 Ford work over on Ford barn. Don't even consider life without at least the first 2 or 3 on list.
