    Hello folks,

My name is Mike, 69 years, and other than an introduction I've never posted here before. I build scale scratch models entirely of metal. Brass, aluminum, motor parts and rearend housings are done in a nickel alloy. I want them to be correct scale, and to be great models.

My current project has a brass chassis, slightly modified, vintage 1968 from Kent Fuller.

Plan is a Gen II Hemi, but stack injected, vintage 1971 latest. I'm having a bit of a problem locating photos showing the front of the manifold, fuel block, and such.

Here a few photos of what I do, these are scratch built scale models in metal. Motors have 300-400 single parts....

Can anyone show some injected 426 motors in a dragster?

    Thanks in advance, Mike..

C'mon Mike, who do you think you're kidding? Those are obviously studio photographs of real cars!

Mike, what scale do you work in?

Edit: I just read your intro, I find it incredible that you scratch build your models in 1/25 scale.

Well, I may be off the beaten path, but seems the the OP is marketing. Enjoy.

@dry lakes wheel man....many thanks for the wonderful close ups. I went to several fuel injection website/shops and can't figure out the fuel lines hookup in the front. There seems to be a fuel block at the rear of the manifold, which doesn't make sense to me. You've helped me out with your entries, many thanks.

@Desmodromic, smiling now, thanks for this.

@Fordors, I've tried several times to contact the owner on FB, seems he has his message box blocked for unknowns. A beautiful car that's well documented. a fun build.

Hi @Budget36, I'm not sure what you mean by "marketing". I'm not fishing for comments if this is meant. The model cars are certainly not for sale.

There are sites where these and other like photos are appreciated, I'm OK with it there. I've asked here for help because through the years this website is obviously top notch when it comes to technical things of interest. The available plastic model kits may be nice for some folks, just I'd prefer to have things more exact.

    Thanks for your interest.

Unprecedented! Mike's the first guy to ever post out here to demonstrate his incredible skill level or boost his ego!

  11. I had an Enderle setup and don't have any pics but I remember the fuel block being in the middle of the intake. If I stumble on a pic, I'll post it. That was an early 2" butterfly unit.

@Mike-model, I suggest you post pictures of your creations on the Friday art show because they are definitely works of art!

Maybe if you search barrel valve instead of fuel block.

Nice work! I miss being able to do that stuff. Even at 44 yrs old, my arthritis is bad enough that I just can't do it anymore. But, really, great work!!!

Ha! Makes me feel good that I do know someone here....Deuces, I do remember the handle. I haven't been active there too much lately, but did start a topic about the current vintage FED that's on the bench.

It's the motor for which I've asked about here. Thanks for the praise, wasn't expecting anyone would know about the models.

Much appreciated. I looked again at the photos I grabbed from the Hilborn website, I believe you're right. The top photo has a block in the middle, so I suppose it has 8 nozzles, with two lines running in from the front. The second photo is what threw me off, seems to be at the rear....?

@Chucky, good one, makes me laugh.

@Moriarity, yes Mr. Eastwood is the fellow I was told to contact. He's also on Roger Riceman's FB group, as well as other real car guys. Very helpful group there.

    @Desmodromic, now that one's funny.

@arkiehotrods, thanks for this! Nice to see real car guys show some love for the little cars.

    @saltflats, that's a good idea, will do.

@flatheadpete, yep, hurting joints are not fun. I hate dropping small things, almost impossible to pick up.

Pete will get a notification that he was mentioned on this thread and will probably respond when he logs on to the site. That is what the @ symbol in front of a name does .....

Talented guy Mike-model. Love the altered, it looks just so right to me.

Good luck with your search for information on the fuel system.

  22. The barrel valve may have been located in the center of the manifold as indicated by the mounting base visible in the first photo but was probably moved to the rear of the manifold for ease of adjusting the idle speed fuel delivery.

@Offset, from your avatar I see you're an altered fan....actually my favorites too. The FED's are new to me, the one on the bench is only #2. The Ford T came out real nice, I had the "Jewel T" in mind with the look. I appreciate your praise.

As far as I can tell, there seems to be a fuel feed and a return line going into the valley area, directly to the 8 port fuel block. Makes sense to me. Tomorrow though I'll probably have a new plan...

Thank you. Do you think it's possible the barrel valve could be mounted at the front of the manifold? I'm not sure if the manifold photos shown are rear view or front view...?

    Hello wraymen, I appreciate this.

But you know, over the years, what I've seen in real life cars right here on this website is just astounding, and I never get tired of snooping around and dreaming. You guys are just fantastic.

I've always loved hotrods, more so than drag racing, just bench racing and building tiny cars in metal is what I do. Heck, I have a real garage....but it's full of scooter stuff. I'm a Vespa hotrodder! lol.

    Mike..
