Almost the wrong direction. Haltom city is north of 20 and east of 35. Out joy riding in rush hour traffic in a stolen car?

Man I hate that this happened to you. I just emailed this link to a lot of Texans who will definitely be on the lookout and will ask around for any possible info.

I re-posted this on Facebook.........Any chance for a "sticky" for a day or more? And I called all my "road" buddies to keep an eye out for it in Kansas & Missouri.

If he was at a motel near west 820 it makes a lot of sense, I wouldn't have wanted to try and come down 35 at that hour of the morning.

    DAMMIT, Mikey.

Let's not stick it just yet - more views if it floats in the HAMB ether for a while.

That makes a ton of sense! I know I can go forever without looking at the "sticky" threads.

This just plain sucks! I'm sick of reading about nice hot rods being stolen, it's been happening here in my hometown for a couple of years, mostly on OT muscle car type builds.
My under construction '31"A" Brookville is in my shop with about the best electronic security system with cell phone back up on the monitoring, even then I've got $35K Hagerty "under construction" insursnce on it! When it hits the road I'll change that to full coverage.
But I'm also going to do some research on Lojac vs. GPS systems for it also.

Would be pretty dumb to try to sell it at Pate, but you never know.
I want to know where all these old cars are going. Seems like a rash of thefts here lately and few recoverys.

  15. Sure hope this one gets found quickly.

The days of thinking "it will never happen to me" are long gone.

Prevention (battery removal, fuel shut-off, ignition cut-out, screaming interior alarms, steering wheel removal, pedal locks, the Club etc) is now mandatory. This sounds like a drive-away theft (based on the possible sighting of it on the road) and measures like this can minimize the possibility of theft.

I agree. Car alarms don't really do much good unless they disable the vehicle though. People ignore them for the most part.
    Any pics available yet?

Looks likke the thief's are already honeing there skills for the LSRU. Not much you can do if they have a flatbed or rollback. Just take all the steps you know to prevent an easy take and hope you did enough.
