I have 1977 chevy van with 250 ci., I was not aware of integrated heads so when I got the van I had the engine rebuilt. Now putting it back in now I know of integral head is, looking for exhaust manifold like headers. Can't do and too much money to change to non-integral head! Are there parts like gaskets and there is like a ****erfly flap with unit on it I would like to replace. And how to connect it back up?? I was in a hurry, so I don't know how long before someone or anyone will respond. Thanks.
Welcome to the HAMB. You probably want to do an Intro. The main board is trad stuff only, so at least you put this in the right spot. I don't have much experience with these engines, so I can't help with a list of places and parts. They are NOT anyone's first choice to hop up. The changes were all for emissions reasons and from what little I have dealt with, these are much harder to get ****y. I'd look for a dedicated chevy 6 forum although the people here are widely knowledgeable.
