Snupy32 here. Has ANYONE had dealings (good or bad,) with a Facebook marketplace site listed as “Rods N Parts” in San Diego California……NO address only ph # BUT many postings of nice vintage pieces, builders etc. (I’m 78 yr old too stupid to give up) Some very recent part are priced market,,,,,,others are much lower. (I also know “if it’s too good to be true it’s probably not real) See my feedback as Snupy32 on eBay….ive made some great buys from unknowing sellers….but 2-3 scams. I’m looking at the 32 original top.please help samfeagin@att.net. Thanks guys!
@snupy32, to me, it appears to be a scam site. I am not a Facebooker and can see only a limited part of postings. Can't see the 32 top but there is a 59 El Camino listed that appears the pictures are of one for sale in Tacoma, Washington in 2016. Look at this: 1959 El Camino California Car Project Do a Google image search for the 32 top.
If you are dealing with facebook dont buy unless you can go in person. That is my best advise. It is a pain in the *** to get your money back IF you can even get it back. Paypal is about the only option with any hope you can get your money back; NEVER send money with paypal using the friends and family option and watch out for the scammer sending bogus trash; Paypal will expect you to send the trash back including any line item listed on the shipping invoice (packing included) on your dime if you want to see any of your money back. The first time was my last time buying something on facebook. Too bad scammers cant be publicly executed.
I've found that any profile on Facebook that uses the word "Parts" in the name is a scammer, pay attention and you'll see what I'm talking about.
SCAMMERS?. Guys, THANKS for the 3 reply’s …..I finally got the ‘reverse image’ app to work! The exact same 32 Rdst top pictures that “Rods N Parts” have listed,were originally posted by Darkhorse about June 2023. The original 32 Rdst top complete is now listed on San Diego FB marketplace @$350 or shipped to SanAntonio Tx $450. Pls take a look at this site.he just listed 32 5w all orig $10k no rust (1st responder to buy - Richard Rawlings);; Couple mo ago he listed 32 Rdst w/o fenders also $10k & will ship. IF this IS a SCAMMERS site, we need to confirm same & put out a warning for all members, or whatever is permissible. Best regards & thanks again Snupy32
Bought a race car on Facebook Marketplace in another state. Knew the car and the original owner.. called him first. Deal was good enough to purchase. Cash only. Was loaded before we counted the $$$.
