I have been researching the 1969 Hurst Super Stock AMX for about 40 years and have a website www.superstockamx.com. 53 cars were made total, and I have info on every one of them except one-a car sold at Harry And Carl's AMC in Cincinnati. I am hoping someone remembers this dealership, maybe even worked there, and hopefully knows something about this car-was it raced locally, sold through another dealer, etc. Here is a post I have used on a number of sites, but no luck yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance:
Of all the 1969 Hurst Super Stock AMXs, there seems to be just one that nobody seems to know about: the one from Harry and Carls Automotive Service AMC dealership in Cincinnati, Ohio. While there are actually nine cars that are missing, there are eight that have been identified, just do not know where they are (Uncle Sam, Chuck's Luck, Green Rambler, King Nash, while MacDonalds Ramblers was stolen after 6 months and never seen again (in Montreal), Transcona (destroyed by fire), Beachy Bros. and Coon Bros. locations are known, the VIN is not at this time).
    Here is info I have:
Carl Petrosky was born on June 21, 1929 and passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2010. Carl was a resident of North Olmsted, Ohio.
Harry and Carl- American Motors opened a Rambler sales and service garage south of the James Radabaugh home (now Chester's Roadhouse) at 9620 Montgomery Road. It was then operated as Montgomery Jeep/Eagle then a Jaguar and Lincoln Dealership.
Before the Montgomery Road dealership building, here was the address: Harry and Carl Automotive Service Nash Rambler Metropolitan Cincinnati, Ohio Nashville Corner, Plainville and Murray est. 1926. I have a matchbook promoting this address.
Does anyone anywhere have any knowledge of this car? There is one report that someone remembers seeing it in the dealership, then what? Anyone in the Cincinnati area, or know of other dealership people in the area? Any tracks in the area? It couldn't just disappear! Thanks for any help with any of these cars.

The building that Harry and Carl resided in on Murray Ave is still standing. I believe it is in line to be torn down for the expansion of a Porsche dealership next to it soon. I do remember an AMX running out of Plunket's 76 Gas Station on Wooster Pike not far from the dealership years ago. Jim Plunket now has a service garage on Madison Rd. in the community of Madisonville now. He may or may not be able to help you with some information I am not sure. The I will PM you the information I have for his shop. Joe
