I have read in a few different forums that I can replace the front coil springs in my 1949 Ford Coupe with Duralast springs # DLCS5765 (Aerostar) from Auto Zone that will be a direct fit, as well as lower the front end a bit. Can anyone verify this for me please before I go out and buy them ? As always, thanks much,
I've used them on my 51 without a issue. It does drop it a little bit. I've heard before up to 2 inches or more, but I don't know if it was even that far. I used Moog CC850 (Aerostar) springs on both my sons 50 and my 56. Pretty sure they lowered my 56 more than they did the 50 at least after 25k or so miles of use in the 56.
