I got some problems with this qtr panel,a little wavy, dips in and bulges out alittle at seam, should i shrink patch panel, shrink disc or spot weld gun maybe, whats your thoughts?Top x is low, bottom x is high lump
REAL SHRINK AND TAC WELDS TO HOLD IT BETTER COULD EVN USE A PLUG WELD start and work slow and see what works, will take a few hours i used to do production and it is a lot more hurried, take your time and watch wheer the metal is going
Hey, As I read your photos, I see what looks like the swage line is in, or low, and the front " X" is high? The heat from your weld probably ****ed in the swage line as the front " X " rose up above normal contour. I'd start by bumping up the swage line to normal contour, whyle I drove the high area at the front "X " down. You may have to land a couple shrinks at the front "X " and do some on and off dolly work to level the panel, but don't over hammer on dolly or you'll cause more high areas.
