I seem to recall a old black and wite movie with a front engine dragster beating everything in sight so they put it up against a streamliner at a dragstrip. The streamliner had a real pointy shape, ( The flying Caduces before paint maybe?) I just seen a picture of Gary Gabelich's Flying Caduces up agaist the G-B-P dragster on Facebook is what brought back the memory. Thanks in advance.

That jet car is the Valkyrie 1 and I think it was built strictly for the 1/4 mile, sorry but I don’t recall the builders name. On the other hand the Flying Caduceus was built by Dr. Nathan Ostich as a LSR car to be run at Bonneville. Sorry, but I can’t help with the movie.

The lively set is a pretty cool hot rod movie , has a lot of early 60s cars in it . I watched it with my Dad several years ago and he really enjoyed it due to the fact it has Chrysler turbine cars in it and he did a lot of consulting for Chrysler in the early 60s on the turbine cars.

I'm snooping for the full movie but this trailer has that race...at least some of it and quite the cast and the ladies were hot...

Enjoyed that movie....have to watch it again sometime. Seems like that roadster surfaced a few years back....repainted yellow or it was originally yellow? Probably saw the discussion on here
