Guy over on 67-72chevytrucks is trying to identify some cars in old family pictures. Stumped on this one.
yes indeed. some interesting mods. cowl lights, rear guard lights, Model A headlight bar? early hinged screen. Custom paint job. Wonder what year photo was taken. There must be a story behind this one.
Nice photo, wire wheels and front bumper were Ford factory options. Folding windsheild was an accessorie or owner fabed item. Looks like a step plate on the rear fender, it may have had a rumble seat conversion. Bob
Based on the headlights I think it may be a 1926, they mounted closer to the fender and didn't have a bar, the owner added that bent bar. Bob
The blip on the rear fender sure looks like a rumble seat step...I've seen pictures of an aftermarket rumble seat setup for '26-7 T, made with the trunk lid hinged at its rear edge to allow enough room to stuff a person into the too-small deck of the T. I wonder if this car had that setup? Whoever owned that car clearly had all the mail-order catalogs of the day and dozens of $$ to blow on neat stuff!
Bruce Rumble step, the ol man used to say that was so you didn't have to open the door to get in. LOL I agree with the '27 T analysis and yes lots of added bling for the day.
I enlarged the pic and it looks like it has a lot of louvers on the hood sides, sides from ? Cool ride then and now for sure.
