Hey guys need some expertise. I have a 54 Chevy Bel Air 2 door coupe powered by a 235ci backed by a 700r ****** and a curry 9 in with 350 gears. I would like to install a lock up converter. Any thoughts?

I thought the 700r came with a lock up converter, you have to buy the selenoid kit to go in the ******.

Unless you specifically purchased a non-lockup converter, you already have one. The solenoid is already in there, too.

As has been said, you just need to wire it. Either kit or DIY works just fine. Some kits come with a new, pre-wired solenoid.

Also, make sure you know the proper function of the TV cable, and that it is set up properly, on a set of brackets, and a bellcrank that is of the proper geometry. The very survival of your transmission depends on it.
