I just got a 30 dodge, it has a 360 and a 727 in it now. I would like to run a manual transmission but i cant find any adapters. Does anyone know of a good manual trans to run with a 360?

Checkout "forabodiesonly.com" there is a great article about using a T-5 behind a smallblock dodge motor. Pretty easy swap, even easier on a rod.

  3. If you're looking for early pieces, be careful, the bell housings for 3 speeds and 4 speeds are not all the same. the 4 speed (A833) has a tall bolt pattern with one of the lower bolts offset, the 3 speed bolt pattern is almost square, IIRC.

If you're shopping at swap meets, bell housings from the early "Poly" 318s will bolt up to your 360 as well. Big block housings look similar, but the starter is on the left side instead of the right.

Wrong. It's in a different spot, but all starters are on the driver side, including the slant six.

The A-833 would be the best option. It's a strong transmission and comes in different ratios, even in an overdrive from the F, M, and J body cars/miser trucks.

Actually get his number and call 'em. 5 minutes on the phone with Gary will set you straight as to what you need. :)
