Hey guys, I’ve been here for some time now, I love the heck out of listening to you guys and looking at your rides and projects, I own nothing newer than a ’85, my daily is a ’70 C-10 inline that I towed home at one time. I am trying to build a low budget first time hot rod. I’m collecting parts for a lakester style and have done well so far. By low budget I don’t mean a POS. I have a nice Model A cowel, a decent A frame, some sheet metal for the back, a 350 and a transmission and an early GM rear. I consider myself talented. I am 32, I work full time in an ER and have 7 children, yes they are all mine, we live in the country. They are great kids and love being in the garage. We make ends meet and still have fun. I’m not whining and am happy with where I have come in my life. I used to work construction so am okay on the tools I NEED (WANT is different). I am asking if there is anyone out there who might be able to spare some parts to get us something on the road. An ice cream fetcher if you will. I am looking for a Model A front, spindles, a rear leaf spring, some wishbones, some doors, don’t have to be roadster, I’ll work them. Anyone have a rusty radiator shell that needs some work or a cracked radiator they want to get rid of. Maybe someone has an extra master cylinder pedal assembly. I know that this should be in the “Wanted” section but I have a feeling that anyone with some of the above parts in BUM condition sitting in the corner of a shop probably wouldn’t be cruising the “wanted” section to get rid of them. I live outside of Augusta, GA and am willing to drive for stuff. There are some local boys here who have been very helpful but the pickin’s are getting slim (with in my price range). I plan on getting some pictures posted when I get more to put in a picture. Parts are really only exciting to look at when they are for sale. I do have a ’42-’47 ford flatbed truck cab, fenders, hood, and parts that I can barter with, missing a door but in good shape.
    Thanks guys.
Moderators please forgive me, I won’t beg anymore.

  2. I would put that cab and front end parts in the classifieds.
Don't forget to list a price (someone might actually have cash), and then list what you would be willing to trade for.
