I want to lower the rear of my 31 coupe and am looking at rear spring. Speedway has a 3 springs with reversed eyes ranging from 198 dollars to 537 dollars. One is 48 1/2” perch to perch, one 46 1/2” and the cheapest 46”.
I am wondering if any Barners have used these springs on their A and will the cheaper spring work?

I don't know... seems like you'd have to get on the Fordbarn to find out! :p Hambers only here... ;)

You might need to provide more details... but I'm ***uming stock spring over rear with high arch & matching crossmember?

Unfortunately, I'm not your guy. I don't have spring widths memorized, but I do know that Millworks has what you need and is probably more than willing to answer your questions!

I have a Model T rear spring like many use on Model A's. I used one on my Model A build. Because of the rear end I was using I had a spring shop in St. Louis unroll the eyes, narrow the main leaf about 2 in and re-rolled the eyes in a reversed fashion which worked out well for dropping the rear end of my Model A.

I would sell the one I have so if you're interested either send me a message or call.

Truckin needs to tell us the width of his rear perches on the axle. Kinda hard to stretch a spring.

Millworks has a reverse eye main spring for 46"-48" perch widths, would cost less than your cheapest option but also use some of your existing leaves. Post a pic of rear shackles.
