I need to remove the driveshaft/torque tube from my '37 Ford rearend....
The rear axle/drive assembly is already out of the car...

Is there more involved than just removing the (tube to rear housing) bolts?

The radius rods have been removed...
and I have removed the bolts...but the torque tube only moves away from the housing about 1/2"....
Not forcing or prying anything till I can find a definitive answer..... I have searched, but nothing found.

    Any help appreciated...

There is a seal, snap ring bearing and speedo drive on the front (transmission) end.Pull all that stuff out and the tube should slide off w/o too much effort

Excellent... once the tube is off....is there a pin or clip to release the driveshaft from the rear?

    Thanks

There is a peened over pin. support driveshaft if you hammer on it to protect pinion bearings.
