I just finished hooking up my new / old welder. Can someone give me some help with some basic settings? I have never used this machine and I have limited experience tig wilding. I have only tiged aluminum at work with the miller there.

Power - Gas - Water are all hooked up and working, Med. Tungsten installed and ground to a point.

    Lincoln Idealarc Tig 300 / 300

    Settings it has

remote current control on - off ?
    fine current control 1 - 10 ?
    DC- AC DC+ ?
    gas afterflow 1 - 50?
soft start on - off ?
spark on - off - start only ?
    spark intensity 1 - 10 ?
    current range min - low - med - high - max ?

would like to burn some 1/8 mild steel tonight.
    Thanks Greg

if you have a foot pedal you want the remote curent ON
set fine current at 5 and move it up or down
for steel or bronze you use DC+ for aluminum you use AC
    gas after flow about 10
    soft start on
spark Start only for steel on for aluminum
spark intensity Start at 5 and move it up or down
Med range should handel 1/8 inch. Only switch the current range with the welder turned off.the others you can play with intill you get thr weld you want.
