I have a '64 Ford Galaxie XL with a rusted out floor board including the tunnel. I know they make new floor pans but I haven't found anyone who makes new tunnels. I want to cut patterns of the hump out of 3/4" plywood and connect them with 1X2's and shape 18 gauge sheet metal to it. I would like to form it in one piece, but wonder if it would be better to do it in sections and weld them together and then the floor pans. Thanks, Bill
uh,,, sounds like a lot of work for something you can form over your knee. Floors first, then tunnel. Here's my tech on floors, principles are the same for a tunnel. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=435411
or wrap it around around a telephone pole? There are lots of different ways to make this piece and all of them are correct.
