Help With Trim Rings

I have a set of trim rings on my '39 Chevy and I am not sure what they came off of. I have had people tell me one thing or the other, but I was wondering if anyone on here knew what they were. I'm not sure if they were a factory option or an aftermarket part.

 

Those particular trim rings were never a Chevrolet option. I'm guessing somebody cut up a set of full wheel covers at some point in time - they look kinda familiar.

 

These rings have a factory edge on the inside . They are not cut up full caps. I am thinking they may have been J.C. Whitney Items.

Kinda' look like a diced up '58 Chevy cap.

Somebody in the Hamb-o-sphere must know something about these trim rings. Like I said , they are not full caps that have been cut . They have a factory edge on the inside. Maybe these should be on the rarest parts thread. Hope I don't loose one , I have never seen any others.

 

I have a similar NOS set that is an aftermarket item too. Mine sort of have fake whitewalls painted on the outside edge. There are no markings or stampings on these either.
