    I have a 1930 ford tudor i have a chevy motor in it and want to put in a cast iron exhaust manifolds on it to be old school but my steering shaft is under the manifold what is a easy way to get this out of the way for my new pipes to work good and not touch i have had this car for over 6 years and is great but i want the old school look and with my model a hood and my 1930 rad. shell it will look great if i can get the headers gone and make it more old style thanks for any help alabamahotrod1930@yahoo.com

    I think there is a early 265 or 283 manifold that exits in the front under first 2 cylinders.

    Saw one at the swapmeet today what he did was take a right side manifold and put it on the drivers side and it gave him alot of clearance.Looked a little different but he didn"t have to relocate the steering at all.

    i built a '51 chevy back in high school had the same problem and if i remember right i used '55 chevy manifolds and reversed the sides. [as said]
