Today, in between torrential rain and working on the DeSoto wagon, I got some detail things wrapped up on the roadster. The seat tilts forward, but was awkward because there was nothing to grab ahold of. I solved that with some leather strap left over from the hood hold downs, a couple of copper rivets and some machine screws. The new pull works great. The trunk got a prop rod in favor of the s**** of 1" dowel left over from something else, a neat little clip to keep it in place, thanks to a conduit clamp and some friction tape. The prop rod is a chunk of 1/4" round rod left over from some long forgotten project. When I figure out what to do with the floor covering (Carpet? Marine vinyl? Black rubber mat?) I guess it'll be done. I'm really happy with the bowling ball bag battery cover too, a fun idea I'm not to proud to admit I stole from someone else. We're going to the "Relix Riot" this weekend, our favorite event of the year, at the Gilmore. Taking the wagon, the roadster, the Spartan, and the Silver Pigeon scooter to zip around on. After that the focus will be on making sure the car trailer is ready for the trip to Florida, where we winter. I found a guy that's going to store it (the trailer), a hot rod and fabrication shop in Myaaka City, just south of us, so we're looking forward to having the roadster in the sunny south.
