I have used two Hot Heads Hemi to Mopar small block 727 both worked and fitted with no issues.

I bought my 354 to ford t5 adapter from HH but it's got Wilcap stamped on it. Starter on the passenger side and an aluminum flywheel, no complaints.

Not a glitch, it's supposed to be tight. And you are supposed to clean off the crank hub. If it's at all loose, "call the company."

I rapped my hub adapter on with a rubber mallet -- or as 31 Vicky suggested, heat it a bit and it will go on easier.

I've got mine assembled to the flexplate stage, and the trans studs are installed. Got to look for a starter and check the tooth engagement. Then I'll attach the trans later.

FWIW I'm happy with the Wilcap, and from other comments I'm glad I chose that.

Not to beat a dead horse, but you really should not need to use a hammer to install the crank hub. One sliver of aluminum (or steel) is going to cause havoc if trapped between the crank flange and the adapter. Ideally, the crank hub should slide onto the flange using your thumbs. Your opinion may differ.

    ^^^^^what Tom says.....
The adapter is new and the crank is, most often, old. Spend some quality time with a scotch buffing wheel and or some 400grit emery paper and make sure that there are no burrs, dings, gouges, etc on the edge of the flange.
