    Wow!
    "FOUND" IN WOODS
Means it got lost, forgoten, discarded. ...
Thank goodness you found it, I hope you can make it run again.
Surely someone tried, & pushed it into "the woods" when they gave up.
Get'er goin , & don't forget to post a build thread & some video. Because that thing looks like it'll sound (& feel ) BADASS sittin' still.

Is it just me, or is this a bit suspect?
4 new tyres? Maybe, but none of them are flat...
Paint is rooted, except on rear wheels...
Still has carbs, but no linkages...why?
Front axle & wheels show different proportions compared to old black & white pic... fuel tank too?
No paint left on motor, no breathers on valve covers...

Feel free to shoot me down.............

I see nothing wrong with your post @fol
But i believe it was taken apart, and stored in different locations, and got different patina.

But it's still a good story and it would be cool to re-create.

Them motor mounts are cool, but I doubt they would be legal now.

Looks like flathead ford rod for front engine mount--now that is cool as hell!!
Yea this is one we all wish we had found--what a cool tale!!! THIS is what hot rodding and the car culture is all about.
My dad took me to Shuffletown Dragway in about 1966--we stood beside the starting line with the big crowd--all I remember was tri 5 chevys laying it on the wood then side stepping the clutch--was not long until one exploded--the teeth came off the flywheel like .38 special bullets--a rod cap hit me in the foot--That day my future was set! I have been a drag racer ever since--I know run a pretty good copy of a dragster I saw that day
Life in the USA is still good ( at least for the time being) I plan on burning at least two drums of fuel next season and running like it may be my last--though I hope and pray it ain't--
    Merry Christmas Boys!
