In the artical they said they assembled the car then took it back to where it was found for the photos. They don't claim it was sitting just like the photos show.

For those feeling too lazy to click through the slide show, here's the highlight reel IMO.

  8. Wow!!
What a find. Not your normal "rusting in peace" 4-dr Nash.
Dayton, TN is NE of Chattanooga. Surprised that Ol' Corky hadn't sniffed this one out.

Quite the find!! Makes you wonder how many other forgotten hot rods and never finished projects are still out there hidden away in barns and sheds just waiting to be discovered. I'd be willing to bet there are quite a few.

  11. Was that a Dodge Charger funny car body next to the chassis in the woods ?

I think the story is legit.. Some of the pictures (like the wheels laying next to the building) look artfully placed an sprinkled with straw.
    Cool none the less.

  13. Don't know if that's a funny car but it is a '66 Charger. How 'bout the pic with the '55 Chevy with home made hood scoop and cheater slicks. Way cool.

No doubt. New ones go into the barn everyday.

neat story, and neat that the guys that raced it are still around to tell the story. there are alot of these stories popping up. thats what makes the history of hot rodding and racing so kool.

It's a copy of a story from this month's issue of hot rod, I'm assuming hot rod is trustable with what people actually "find' out in the woods.
