FRED...there are speed boat racers in the U.S.A. and someone here would love to have that HEMI. and believe me brother you wouldn't believe what that engines worth! they would even pay the freight.O YEA your setting on a BIG gold mine...POP.
First of all guy's thanks for the input, and to answer a few remarks, YES it has the good rotation. The guy selling it is asking 2500 Euro's ( 3300 us $ ) bit more talking and I take it away for 3000 us $ ( trading a few bonus points having with him ) The plan to build it in my 1950 plymouth bizz coupe would be a hell of a job i believe. Not that it would stop me doing it but to be honest the misses is not so keen on the plan to as she calls it : converting our most faitfull cruiser into a tyre smoking road racing killing machine and she means the machine will probably be killing me. I'll see how my annual bonus from my boss turns out and buy it anyway, after paint and polish it would look good in the workshop and as you say maybe I could win some on a sale and buy some speed parts for the old flathead six of the buzz coupe !! BTW The engine never tasted salt it has been running only on the fresh water lakes and the rivers overhere. Regards Fred
Bitchin' car! My only advice is, if you're seriously considering going through with this, look at what parts you need FIRST, then see what it will cost to get those parts THERE. It may seriously be a wash. I don't know what your experiences are with building early Hemis, but parts will get costly! Keep us posted on whatever you do! And good luck!
Trade that baby to some boat guy here in the US and have him send you a complete rebuildable car 392 in exchange. 392's aren't that hard to come by here if you want one and are willing to pay for it. Probably a lot easier than finding a complete boat hemi if you are in need of one of those.
