Their was a conversation started back in early 2024 by 73RR & RodStRace concerning Hydraulic lifters issues. I purchased a set of lifters from Egge machine p/n ELGHL-1812 which are supposed a direct replacement. I also talked with hot heads and they said the same. anyone with any suggestion the lifters are still rattling and are soft. Also this is my first 1955( 270 baby hemi )Build. I have asked the adjustment of the adjustable push rods, I here 0-lash then 1/4 turn ?. Are these lifters correct.

The part number would seem correct; ELGin HL 1 812
In an otherwise stock assembly with adjustable pushrods you will need 2 full turns to achieve approximate 0.048" preload and then go another ½ turn to get to 0.060.
If you only go ¼ turn then your preload is about 0.006. All of this is based on the pushrod having 24tpi.
