Hemi intake not seating right

    We've been going on the ***umption the all the heads are the same except the 392, intake mating wise, maybe that's a faulty belief?:confused:

    Tom, Thanks for causing me to actually think about how long I've been screwing around with these old things....and about how much I have 'forgotten' over the years... Like you, I can recall getting questions about the spacers but that was 25-30 years ago. Totally forgot until you mentioned it.
    I firmly believe that MotherMopar used whatever was available if there was a reasonable need and I am pretty sure that is why we find common casting numbers on p*** car, truck and industrial block and heads when the finished products are vastly different.

    Happy for Dan that the double gasket solved his problem. It is a reasonable 'fix'.
