Update. I emptied the tank and filled with fresh gas. Not sure if that was an issue but, it couldn't hurt. Then, I was trying to dial in the electric choke ( I hate electric choke) The car would start after cranking for way too long. Once started, I had to keep the revs up around 2000-2500rpm or it would die. Back to playing with choke. Now, I'm standing outside of the car and try to start it. It fired up....... and just as it was about to die, instead of revving it up, I put my hand over the carb on the choke plate. It stayed running with no over revving. Sweet. Now as it was running, with one hand on the carb, I adjusted the choke. It was now running on it's own. I took it for a quick drive around the block. Ran great. I turn the car off. And 10 minutes later I go to start it.... just cranking away, no fire up. I readjust the choke again and it lit right up. I think I am on the right track but, I think I need to remove the electric choke and add a cable to control manually.
